Driver terms

The terms you agree to when you deliver with Dropr, before your application can be reviewed.

Placeholder text. These terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer and are not yet binding on anyone. They exist so the links in the apps resolve while the real wording is prepared.

Your relationship with us

You deliver as an independent contractor, not as our employee. You choose when you go online, which offers you accept, and how you plan your route within the law.

Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship, and nothing in them stops you working for anybody else, including another delivery platform.

Getting approved

Before you can go online we check your identity, your right to work, and — if you ride or drive a motor vehicle — your licence, registration and insurance.

You must keep those documents valid. We will remind you before one expires. An expired document stops you going online until you upload a current one.

Tell us if your vehicle changes. The documents we ask for depend on what you deliver with.

Accepting and completing jobs

Offers are sent to you with a time limit. You may accept or decline any of them; declining does not penalise your account, though consistently accepting jobs you then abandon may.

Once you accept a job you are responsible for collecting the order and delivering it to the pinned location. Follow the handling instructions for food, medicine and age-restricted goods.

You confirm a delivery in the app, with a code or a photograph where the order requires it. Do not confirm a delivery you have not made.

Cash you collect

Cash collected on a cash-on-delivery order belongs to Dropr from the moment you take it. You hold it for us until you settle it.

There is a limit on how much cash you can hold. Once you reach it you cannot go online again until you have settled, which keeps the amount you are carrying reasonable.

Settle through one of the methods shown in the app, and keep the proof the app asks for.

Being paid

You are paid per delivery, on the terms shown in the app when you accept a job. Tips a customer adds are yours.

Payouts run on a regular cycle to the bank account on your profile. Any cash you owe us is offset against them.

You are responsible for your own taxes and for any social contributions your status requires.

Safety, privacy and the customer

Obey the road laws of the market you work in. Do not use the app while riding or driving.

Customer details are given to you for one delivery only. Do not keep them, share them, or contact a customer afterwards. Calls go through a masked number so neither party sees the other's.

Tell us promptly about an accident, an injury, or an incident with a customer or a store.

Suspension and ending this agreement

You can stop delivering whenever you like. Settle any cash you hold first.

We may suspend or end your access for a safety concern, fraud, repeated failure to deliver, or an expired document. Where we can, we will tell you why and what would resolve it.

Changes to these terms

We publish a new version rather than editing an existing one, so the text you agreed to stays readable. Each version carries a label and the date it took effect.

Where a change is substantive we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the service. Where it corrects a typographical error, your earlier acceptance stands.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, and the courts of Cameroon have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Where we operate in another market, the local law of that market applies to the extent it gives you stronger protection.
